Enterprise VMware
Infrastructure
Overview
This project focused on implementing enterprise VMware infrastructure to support multiple internal business initiatives, security analysis environments, enterprise application testing, onboarding laboratories, and network simulation activities within DKSH Indonesia.
The infrastructure was designed to provide scalable, isolated, secure, and centrally managed virtual environments capable of supporting various operational and testing requirements simultaneously.
VMware virtualization technology was implemented to optimize hardware resource utilization, accelerate environment provisioning, simplify system testing activities, and improve operational flexibility across multiple enterprise initiatives.
The environment supported several strategic projects, including Security Sandbox Analysis, Warehouse Management System (WMS) testing, Delivery Order (DO) System validation, Billing Portal verification, Invoice Tracker System testing, branch network simulations, legacy application migration testing, and onboarding environments for new employees.
Virtual infrastructures were configured using isolated virtual networks, segmented testing environments, virtual storage allocation, snapshot management, rollback mechanisms, and centralized administration to ensure operational reliability and testing consistency.
As Senior Specialist Digital Workplace, responsibilities included VMware infrastructure planning, virtual server provisioning, enterprise lab environment implementation, security sandbox deployment, virtual network configuration, legacy migration validation, onboarding environment preparation, and operational management for enterprise virtual environments.

Project Challenge
One of the biggest challenges during implementation was building a flexible virtual infrastructure capable of supporting multiple enterprise use cases simultaneously without impacting operational performance.
Since the infrastructure was used for security analysis, enterprise application testing, onboarding activities, network simulation, and migration validation, every environment needed to be isolated, secure, scalable, and easy to provision dynamically.
Additional challenges included resource optimization, maintaining compatibility for legacy applications, supporting branch network simulation scenarios, and providing stable environments for user testing and validation activities.
Security sandbox environments also required strict isolation mechanisms to ensure malware analysis, suspicious file testing, and experimental activities remained separated from production infrastructure.
Multi-Purpose Infrastructure
Building scalable virtual infrastructure capable of supporting multiple enterprise projects simultaneously.
Security Sandbox Isolation
Creating isolated environments for malware analysis, suspicious file testing, and security validation activities.
Network Simulation
Supporting branch connectivity simulations, routing validation, and virtual network segmentation scenarios.
Legacy Compatibility
Ensuring legacy applications remained functional during operating system migration and compatibility testing.
VMware Infrastructure
VMware infrastructure architecture was designed to provide centralized virtualization management, high operational flexibility, isolated testing environments, and efficient hardware resource utilization.
Multiple virtual servers were provisioned dynamically based on project requirements, allowing rapid environment setup, rollback mechanisms, snapshot management, and infrastructure scalability.
Virtual infrastructure implementation included VMware ESXi virtualization, centralized virtual server administration, virtual storage allocation, virtual network segmentation, and resource optimization management.
Virtual Server Provisioning
Provisioning scalable virtual machines for enterprise testing, onboarding, migration validation, and security analysis.
Virtual Storage Allocation
